A. Our packing facility is located at 710 Quay Avenue, Wilmington, CA 90744. Encompassing 4 acres, our packing facility can handle your oversized loads, custom packaging your freight, and/or provide secure storage.

Q. What handling services does Project Transport provide in respect to my oversized cargo?

A. Project Transport provides a wide range of handling services for oversized and break-bulk shipments. We provide export packing, crating, bracing, loading, lashing, stevedoring, and an array of heavy lift services. Project Transport is a single-source, turnkey solution for transporting your cargo. We provide complete logistical execution- we will arrange, monitor, and supervise the shipping of all project components, from start to finish!

Q. Are there any size or weight restrictions for project shipments?

A. No project is too big or too small for Project Transport. Please contact our rates department to obtain the most efficient and economical logistical plan for your shipment.

Q. Do you provide Roll-On, Roll-Off (RORO) service?

A. Yes, Project Transport can accommodate your wheeled cargo by providing RORO service. During ocean transport, your shipment will be stowed and secured safely in a dry, below-deck location aboard the vessel.

Q. What type of ocean equipment do you provide for oversized cargo?

A. We provide loading and lashing of your oversized cargo onto 40’ flatracks, 45’ flatracks, and 40’ flatbed trailers. To see a list of common ocean equipment dimensions and weight capacity, please refer to "Ocean Equipment Specifications". We also provide a wide array of specialized equipment including platforms, gondolas, mafis, and heavy haul & drop deck trailers to meet the specific handling requirements of your cargo.

Q. I have a shipment that cannot fit into an ocean container; however, it is not going to take up an entire 40’ flatrack. Do I still have to pay for the entire flatrack?

A. Absolutely not! Project Transport provides flatrack consolidation to the Hawaiian Islands, whereby you would only be charged for the portion of the flatrack being occupied.
