Q. When do you have sailings to Hawaii? What are the cutoff times?

Q. How are my shipments rated?

A. Shipments are rated on a per-cubic-foot basis. An exception to the cubic foot rule is the "density rule factor," which states that shipments with a density exceeding 45 pounds per cubic foot will be assessed on the basis of one cubic foot per 45 pounds.

Q. How do I calculate cubic feet?

A. To calculate cubic feet, first measure the shipment in inches. Next, multiply the length, width, and height measurements, and divide their total by 1,728.

(length x width x height) divided by 1,728 = cubic feet

Example A: 1 pc. 48" L x 40" W x 48" H divided by 1,728 = 53.3 cubic feet, and would be rated as 53 CFT.

The total cubic feet of pieces will be rounded up or down to the nearest whole cube when extended. Shipments tendered on pallets will be cubed upon the greatest three dimensions of each palletized unit.

Q. Are there are any restrictions on the size or weight of my LCL freight?

A. Yes. For LCL freight, the shipment cannot exceed the inside dimensions of a 40’ high cube container. More specifically, any single shipping unit cannot exceed 39’6" in length, 7’7" in width, or 8’5" in height. Also, each unit is not to exceed 10,000 lbs. Any shipment of abnormal or unusual nature may constitute an exception to normal loading requirements. If a shipment is deemed unfit to be loaded into a container, then it can be routed through our packing facility for more specialized handling. For more information on our packing facility services, please visit our Conventional Load FAQ.
